To provide you with up-to-date traffic information, M-1 RAIL has an interactive construction map that you can reference to help you navigate the Woodward Avenue Corridor. The map, along with other construction and traffic information can be found by clicking here.

The M-1 RAIL Streetcar is currently under construction on Woodward Avenue, with completion slated for 2016. The system will travel north and south on both sides of Woodward Avenue for 3.3 miles (6.6 miles round-trip) between Congress and W. Grand Blvd. The streetcar line will have 20 stations (16 curbside and 4 median running) at 12 locations along Woodward and will serve Detroit’s local residents, job centers, and most-visited destinations.

This project will enhance the transportation options available within Detroit and is expected to be a catalyst for local job creation, and economic growth. It is providing a foundation for improved and expanded regional public transit system. The M-1 RAIL Streetcar project is the first major transit project led and funded by private businesses and philanthropic organizations, in partnership with local, state and federal governments.
