Detroit, MI - December 30, 2009 - On Monday,
Jan. 11, the doors of Cobo Center will open to the 2010 North
American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Beginning on Monday
instead of Sunday, the new schedule creates a more efficient
timeline for manufacturers and press alike during two jam-packed
days of worldwide press reveals and announcements. Thousands of
global journalists will be on hand to report on the latest product
and industry information from the heart of the automotive sector in
Detroit.
"One of the world's most prestigious automotive events is less
than two weeks away," said Doug Fox, chairman, 2010 NAIAS. "To
date, we're anticipating some 40 debuts, 30 worldwide and 10 North
American, which will make for a very full two days of press
conferences at Cobo Center. In addition to the press
conferences being held, the media will also be able to explore the
all-new 37,000 square-foot Electric Avenue on the main show floor,
as well as test drive environmentally-friendly vehicles again in
the MEDC EcoXperience in Michigan Hall. It will be an
opportunity for journalists to take advantage of every moment."
Media can still register by visiting www.naias.com and submitting
credential requests online.
