North American International Auto Show - January 14-27, 2013, COBO Center, Detroit, Michigan
News Flash January 20, 2012
Think Sunshine. Think New Cars and Trucks. Think Auto Show.

DETROIT, Mich., Jan. 20, 2012 - The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2012 has enjoyed a spectacular run since it opened to the press January 9. And, now, with just two days left, Detroit car lovers have a chance to help make history.

"We're anticipating a big, big weekend," said NAIAS Chairman Bill Perkins. "The sun is shining indoors at Cobo Center, the temperature is just right, and the mood is cheerful. Come be a part of the hottest event in the country, right here in your own neighborhood."

Perkins said NAIAS 2012 show attendance is ahead year-to-date over the 2011 show, which brought 735,370 people to Cobo Center. Show organizers expect to reach 750,000 by the time the doors close Sunday, January 22 at 7 pm.

"The auto show has become a wonderful family event," said Perkins. "I'm personally so proud of the show, and those who have had a hand in producing it. I hope everyone in Southeastern Michigan will share in our moment; we'll be talking about this show for a long time."

This is the last chance for the public to see the more than 500 vehicles on the show floor, including the 40+ that were introduced just last week during the press preview, most of which have never been seen before anywhere in the world.
