Education Day provides an opportunity for school groups of all ages to learn about the automotive industry. PNC Bank, as the "Official Preschool Partner of NAIAS Education Day," will host pre-K "Grow Up Great" students engaged in various learning activities that includes a visit from Sesame Street™ character Cookie Monster.

Details:
The "World of Opportunities" event will feature 225 DPS pre-K students engaged in PNC "Grow Up Great" educational materials, along with comments from Roy Roberts, DPS emergency financial manager; Ric DeVore, PNC Bank regional president for Detroit and Southeast Michigan; and Bill Perkins, chairman of the North American International Auto Show. PNC's signature philanthropic initiative -- "Grow Up Great" -- is one of the most comprehensive early childhood education programs in the nation and partners locally with DPS and the DPS Foundation.

In addition, students of all ages will have the opportunity to learn about careers associated with the automotive industry, from engineering, automotive design and many other disciplines.
